Another contestant has been cut from The X Factor 2016 in last night's results show.

Saturday night was the second round of live performances and it was Motown week.

A total of eleven acts performed for the judges and public with the line up including Simon Cowell's girls - Emily Middlemas, Gifty Louise and Samantha Lavery - and Nicole boys - Freddy Parker, Matt Terry and Ryan Lawrie.

Joining them were Sharon's Overs - Honey G, Relley C and Saara Aalto - and Louis' two remaining groups - 5 After Midnight and new addition Four Of Diamonds who replaced axed Brooks Way.

Who left X Factor last night?

But it was to be the last performance for Freddy Parker who bowed out in the results Sunday evening.

Lines opened yesterday after everyone had performed and closed in this evening's second live show of the weekend where the bottom three were revealed.

Sunday's X Factor 2016 results

Saara Aalto, Freddy Parker and Ryan Lawrie were in the danger zone, the second time in as many weeks for both Saara and Freddy.

As with last week, fans had just 5 minutes to vote to save one of the bottom three in a free poll on the official X Factor app.

The one with the most votes was Ryan and he was therefore saved from the sing-off and is through to next weekend.

The remaining two - Freddy and Saara - them had to perform again for the judges in the sing-off.

Freddy was first and performed Stay by Rihanna while Saara followed with Snow Patrol's Run.

It was then up to the judges to vote, starting with Nicole and Sharon who both backed their own acts by sending home Saara and Freddy respectively.

Louis sent Freddy home before Simon gave a casting vote: "I'm going to go with my own gut feeling, the person I'm going to send home is Saara."

Therefore with the votes tied, it went to deadlock.

The result went back to the MAIN public vote (not the bottom 3 flash vote), and with the fewest votes from the public over the weekend, Freddy was eliminated.

The X Factor 2016 continues next Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.
