X Factor champ James Arthur is said to be facing a copyright claim over his new single.
James remained on top of the charts last night with new single Say You Won't Let Go.
The track has been Number 1 for the past three weeks and is James' biggest hit since 2012 winner's song Impossible.
But could it get him embroiled in a copyright battle?
The Sun newspaper claims that supposed similarities between the track and The Script's The Man Who Can't Be Moved have been noticed.
Apparently a report has been commissioned into the two tracks which could potentially result in a court case.
An insider said that the news was "devastating" for James, who is credited with writing the song alongside two others.
"Say You Won’t Let Go is already one of the biggest singles of the year so this is a real hammer blow," a source told the newspaper.
They added: “James has just got back on the straight and narrow after a difficult few years and a lawsuit is the last thing he needs.”
It's understood to be the publishing company behind The Script's song who are investigating, rather than the band itself.
Perhaps a good thing, given that James and The Script are in fact with the same management, which would have made things very awkward.
