And now former X Factor winners Little Mix have thrown the cat amongst the pigeons with supposed insider info.
The 2011 champions have claimed they've been told that Honey G is secretly an actress.
Jesy Nelson told KISS FM (via the Daily Mirror): "She’s just no. I think she’s an actress, I’ve been told she is as well."
Bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock added: "I’m all for entertainment, but I’m also all for real talent as well."
It's the second time the girls have hit out at Honey G on the show, claiming that novelty acts don't have a place in the live finals.
In a separate interview, Jesy suggested: "I don't think it's fair."
She told Digital Spy: "I get it in that it becomes a little niche thing and everyone finds it funny, but I just think it's so unfair when so many incredible people don't get through.
"If that would've been [the case] on our year, I would've been f**ked off."
Jade Thirlwall added: "Even in our year there were artists like Kitty [Brucknell] who were seen as novelty, but she was still an incredible singer."
And Leigh-Anne concluded: "There's no excuse for it really."
Little Mix will return to The X Factor this weekend to perform new single Shout Out To My Ex, so it could get a tad awkward if they bump into Honey G.
The X Factor 2016 airs live this Saturday and Sunday night at 8PM on ITV.
It's Motown week and the final eleven - including newly introduced 4 Of Diamonds - will be singing to avoid the next elimination.
