4 of Diamonds have faced claims of a 'X Factor fix' after apparent links with Sony Music were revealed.
The four girls hadn't originally been a part of this year's live line up but were drafted in this week after Brooks Way were axed.
Now tabloids have dug up info on the girls linking them to Sony Music, owner of Simon Cowell's Syco record label.
Four of Diamond's singer Yasmin Lauryn mentions in an online profile that she was previously "scouted by Sony" after appearing on The X Factor last year.
However an X Factor source insisted that this had nothing to do with the show and was not a 'fix'.
They explained: "She [Yasmin] was spotted by Sony at the start of the year when they went to her performing arts college generally looking for talent - it was nothing to do with The X Factor or her auditioning for the show this time."
That said, it has been confirmed that the group - made up of Yasmin with Caroline, Lauren, and Sophia - were put together in an "X Factor workshop".
A spokesperson for The X Factor told the Mirror newspaper “Four of Diamonds did all apply for the show as soloists but didn’t make it past the first stage.
“They were then invited to take part in a workshop to form a group, the group then had to apply again to enter the show.”
Four of Diamonds will sing live for the first time this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.
