X Factor's Honey G's real identity has been revealed and it's quite surprising.
Over the past few weeks Honey G is the one act on the show EVERYONE has been talking about.
Even if not necessarily for the right reasons..
Honey G from North West London - aka North Weezy - brought her unique version of Missy Elliott's Work It to the Room Auditions earlier this year.
The performer described herself as a "genuine urban artist" who was "representing for The X Factor massive."
Albeit as a result of another act dropping out - Honey G has made it through to the live shows.
What is Honey G's real name?
Many have wondered if the whole thing is some sort of elaborate prank or set up, but Honey G seems to be totally serious.
Throwback pictures show the singer, real name Anna Georgette Gilford, looking like another person compared to what we've seen on the show so far.
The 35-year-old runs an IT recruitment firm as her day to day job but business isn't going great.
She told The Sun newspaper this weekend: "I have a lot of tax that I pay and I owe some money to a few businesses and advertising companies. I sometimes struggle to put food on the table and I don’t have many savings either.
"There is a chance that I will possibly go bust in the next couple of months, so this X Factor opportunity means everything to me."
Is Honey G fake?
Honey went on: "I am not a joke. I have been a musician my whole life. I’m a heavyweight producer, I’m not a bedroom producer. I’m the finished article and I’m no different to the likes of Pharrell or Jay-Z.
"I find it quite insulting that people would think I am a novelty act, but maybe people have a problem with a white woman rapping."
So there you go: Honey G may not be her real name but this is far from an elaborate prank.
The X Factor 2016 goes LIVE tonight at 8PM on ITV.
