X Factor star Ryan Lawrie has hit back over (ridiculous) 'fix' claims surrounding his audition.
20-year-old, who hails from Coatbridge in Scotland, performed for the judges at auditions in Edinburgh last month.
After singing Cecilia by The Vamps, Ryan left the panel pretty impressed with not just his voice.
"You're super cute!" reacted Nicole Scherzinger.
But pretty much as soon as the audition had aired, Ryan faced claims in the tabloids that he was 'already a popstar' because he had, err, won a competition and raised money for charity with a special song.
Now Ryan is in the live shows, he's hit back the claims and insisted there was no "special treatment" for him
"I went down the same route as everyone else to audition for the show, I wasn't hand picked," Ryan explained.
He went on: "I went through the same route as everyone else. I didn't get approached about auditioning and I certainly didn't get any special treatment.
"Everything I've been through and being brought back as Nicole's wildcard proves it not a fix."
It has been quite the journey for Ryan it has to be said.
He was initially given a no at bootcamp this year before making six chairs as part of a new boy band.
But they also got a no, seeing Ryan rejected for a second time.
However a wild card twist saw Simon Cowell pick Ryan to make judges' houses in Nicole Scherzinger's boys category.
Ryan reflected: "It was an emotional rollercoaster. I thought the dream was over, then I got a call from Simon two weeks later, I was lost for words."
The X Factor 2016 goes live from 8PM Saturday night on ITV.
