X Factor's Bradley and Ottavio have been getting death threats since making the live shows.
The pair - now known together as Bratavio - are one of the final three groups on this year's show.
Saturday night was judges' houses as Louis Walsh picked his finalists for the live shows for the category.
A total of seven acts performed for Louis and his guest judges Alesha Dixon and Fleur East in Ibiza.
Skarl3t, Four of Diamonds, Yes Lad, and Tom and Laura were all sent home by the Irish judge as Louis said yes to Bradley and Ottavio, Brooks Way (The Brooks) and 5 After Midnight (5AM).
The decision was slammed by viewers and some have taken it out on Bratavio.
The Daily Mirror reports that the Southampton duo have been the target of death threats online.
The guys responded to the abuse: "Calm down, we don't make the decisions and we have dreams too".
A spokesperson for The X Factor told the tabloid: "The welfare of our contestants is of the utmost importance to us.
"We have a social media team who work closely with our contestants and can help report any form of abuse."
Speaking at judges' houses, Bradley and Ottavio insisted they were serious about the competition.
"Some people might question, are we taking it seriously but actually we're serious about this. We've got something different to bring," the pair explained.
"We're here to say, you know what, this is it, this is the next generation of the music industry."
Joining the groups in the live shows are Simon's girls Sam Lavery, Emily Middlemas and Gifty Louise, Sharon's Overs Honey G, Saara Aalto and Relley C and Nicole's Boys Matt Terry, Freddy Parker and Ryan Lawrie.
The X Factor 2016 goes live from Saturday night at 8PM on ITV.
