Simon Cowell says he has no problems with X Factor romances.
It's after it was revealed that his act Emily Middlemas is dating fellow live show finalist Ryan Lawrie.
The pair are said to have got close after meeting at bootcamp and last weekend saw Ryan confirm they were seeing one another.
And while it could make for a distraction in the competition, Simon isn't concerned,
"I did hear about that," he said, "I think it's a good thing. It's happened before, it makes it interesting when one goes!"
Meanwhile, speaking about selecting his finalists - Emily, Gifty Louise and Sam Lavery - Simon revealed the final three places could have gone to anyone.
Well, almost anyone.
Simon admitted that Soheila Clifford didn't ever stand a chance, saying: "That wasn't difficult [to say no], she was fun but based on the songs she sang she couldn't match the others."
As for the other girls, Simon explained: "It was difficult. I watched it back last night and it reminded me of what it was like at the home.
"What I thought in my mind was going to happen, didn't happen.
"You always think they'll be as good as you think they'll be and it did change on the day. I genuinely didn't know [who to pick]."
Simon concluded: "Pretty much anyone of those six could have got through. "
Meanwhile, discussing Louis Walsh's choices for the groups, Simon wasn't totally dismissive.
"Obviously with Louis it's been carnage the last two weeks but that's what happens when you put Louis back," Simon told Xtra Factor. "I've got a good feeling he's got some good groups."
The X Factor 2016 goes live this Saturday and Sunday on ITV.
