X Factor's Girl Next Door hit out at editing as they vow to bounce back

x factor 2016 groups - 19

X Factor's Girl Next Door have vowed it won't be the end of the group after missing out on judges' houses.

Saskia, Brit, Katie and Annabel, aged 16-18, make up the fabulous four piece who come from the North West.

Girl Next Door became the first girl group to make it through auditions this year, even though Nicole Scherzinger said no.

Nicole commented after their original audition: "I don't know if you're ready yet, I still think it's a bit premature."

On the other hand, Simon Cowell compared the group to Little Mix and gave them a firm yes through to the next round.

At the Six Chair Challenge the girls found themselves in a game of musical chairs thanks to mentor Louis despite support from both Simon and Nicole, having won her over.

After they sang, Nicole said "Girls you look beautiful up there and you sounded great."

And Simon concluded: "You girls have got talent, to throw you out of the competition at this stage would be crazy."

However it just wasn't to be as the group missed out on a seat in the next stage.

Speaking to the Lancashire Evening Post, Annabel said the experience had only made the group stronger.

“I think the experience has just strengthened our resolve and showed us how much we love performing,” she said. “Rejection has only given us that extra boost to work even harder to make it.”

Annabel went on to hit out at the show's editing over the weekend.

“It was strange to relive it and remember how stressful it all was. We all thought it was edited a little oddly and we said it sounded very different to when we actually sang it," she said.

The 17-year-old explained: “We were really looking forward to watching it back because we thought we put on a really good performance, the crowd gave us a good reaction and we had some excellent comments from the judges, especially Simon Cowell.

“But when we watched it back, the track was very overpowering and you couldn’t really hear what we were singing in parts so we were disappointed.”

Never the less, she revealed the girls had plans to audition again next year, saying: “I think we would give it another go, we’re only young so this is just the beginning for us.”

The X Factor 2016 airs Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV.
