Following the news that Ivy Grace has had to withdraw from the competition due to visa issues, last night it was announced that Honey G would rejoin the competition for Judges’ Houses.
Honey G had originally been axed by Overs' mentor Sharon at the six chair challenge which aired last night on ITV.
Talking about Ivy’s departure Sharon said: “I’m really disappointed that Ivy couldn't continue in the competition but I really wish her well.
She added about Honey G: “I thought long and hard about who can take Ivy's place in the competition and I have never received so many calls and texts about an auditionee before.
"She's larger than life, she's fun, she's different to everyone else in this competition... and I love different.”
As for Honey G herself, she explained: “I think Ivy's voice is incredible and she's very talented. She definitely would have gone very far in the competition if she had stayed.
"Obviously it's a great shame she couldn't progress but I'm very lucky and very happy to be back in the competition, a complete stroke of luck for me. I’m not just belting out an amazing voice; I am what is happening right now in the music scene. I’m the whole shebang.”
As was explained on Sunday’s Xtra Factor Live, Ivy had to withdraw from the competition as she was unable to get the visa required for her to take part in filming for Sharon’s Judge’s House in Los Angeles.
Those through to judges' houses will fight for a place in the live shows at judges' houses on Saturday 1st October, 8pm and Sunday 2nd October, 7.30pm on ITV.
