X Factor 2016: Nate Simpson stuns with Leona Lewis cover at Six Chair Challenge


Nate Simpson gave the performance of the six Chair Challenge on The X Factor 2016 tonigh.

Nate is a 23 year-old part-time singing teacher from Slough and originally appeared at the room auditions with his dad and best friend.

Nate performed Sam Cooke's A Change is Gonna Come in his bid to make it through to bootcamp.

Nicole Scherzinger reacted after the performance: "When you opened your mouth and Jesus came out of it, I was like 'yas, sing!'"

Nate made it through to tonight's Six Chair Challenge where he again had to impress Nicole who has been put in charge of the Boys category.

Nate told cameras before his performance: "I've been a singing teacher for five years, mainly my work is with disadvantaged young people.

"Music really is everything to me. This is going to be the most important performance. I'm going to give it everything."

Nate performed a cover of Run by Leona Lewis and it was met with a standing ovation.

"That was spectacular, absolutely spectacular," Sharon Osbourne declared.

Simon Cowell added: "This was without doubt the best performance from the boys category, by a mile. I recorded that song with Leona, what you did with it was made it your version."

And the lady in charge of it all, Nicole, concluded: "I love you."

With a chair, Nate is through to judges' houses but will he make the live shows?
