The X Factor 2016 is apparently set to add a brand new wildcard twist to this year's show.
This weekend will see the Top 24 acts chosen as the judges pick the top six in their respective categories.
But there will be a further FOUR wild cards picked by the judges.
However unlike past wild cards, they'll be chosen at the six chair challenge rather than at the live show stage.
As usual the six chair challenge will see each mentor whittle down the acts in their category to just six for judges' houses.
A seventh wildcard act will then apparently be added to each line up - but chosen by ANOTHER judge.
Supposedly, Nicole will pick a wild card act for Sharon, Simon will choose one for Nicole, Louis will select one for Simon and Sharon will decide on an act for Louis.
A show source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “We love adding new twists and it was felt that introducing wildcard acts earlier in the series would liven things up and make the show edgier.
"The fixed-chair challenge is hard enough but now there’s been scope for a bit of tactical game-playing, with each judge picking an extra act for a rival. It’s already caused a few fireworks.”
As a result, it means each mentor will head out to judges' houses with seven acts to pick their live show finalists from.
Airing next weekend, this year the judges' houses locations include LA, Ibiza and France while guests include Robbie Williams, Mel B and Emma Bunton.
But for now, The X Factor 2016 starts Saturday at 8PM on ITV and continues Sunday at 7PM with the six chair challenge.
