An X Factor contestant was promised a spot at bootcamp but was given a no by the judges.
Amanda Lister originally performed for the panel last year when 5 months pregnant where she got four yeses.
However Simon Cowell reportedly told her to return this year and she'd go straight through to bootcamp.
When she did sing in the room auditions, Amanda was given two nos, including one from Simon, meaning she didn't go through.
“I couldn’t believe it. I feel that I have been badly let down and led up the garden path. There are 5,000 witnesses to what Simon said to me," Amanda told the Daily Mirror newspaper.
She complained: “I just don’t want anything like this to happen to anyone else. It was completely unfair and left me really angry - I was shaking with anger. I was so furious I even tripped down the stairs.”
While Amanda praised the "lovely, very kind and friendly" X Factor team, she requested her audition not be aired.
"I’m just writing to let you know that we take all complaints very seriously and are sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience at the X Factor audition," X Factor wrote to her. “Having carefully reviewed your complaint and the footage of your audition, we can now confirm that we will not be featuring your audition in the series.
“We hope the experience will not detract from your enjoyment of the series when it airs later this year and wish you every success for the future.”
It seems as though Simon had been making promises he just couldn't keep.
An X Factor spokesperson explained: “Due to the nature of the show and the fact that The X Factor is a competition, it was not possible for Amanda to skip the audition round this year.
“However, she was offered an automatic audition for this year’s judging panel but unfortunately it didn’t go her way on this occasion. We wish her well for the future."
