Samantha Atkinson returns to The X Factor 2016 tonight following an appearance at bootcamp last year.
Samantha is a 32 year-old pub landlady from Hull who says of her job in this evening's show: "It's pretty fun but it's not something I want to do for the rest of my life."
The mum of two made it as far as bootcamp last year but left after clashing with Ryan Ruckledge in the group challenge.
"I was here last year, I made bootcamp.... somebody tired to just cut me up which made me feel not confident," Samantha tells Dermot O'Leary before her audition this evening.
Samantha continues: "I've been trying and trying to chase my dreams for far too long and I feel if it doesn't happen this year it'll never happen."
Once in the judges' room, Samantha says: "To be honest, it's done me a favour. It's made me feel stronger to come back now."
After singing Adele's When We Were Young, Samantha is ironically branded a "pub singer" by Simon Cowell but Nicole Scherzinger describes the performance as one of her favourite auditions.
