Dannii Minogue is set to make her reality TV comeback here in the UK on Gary Barlow's new talent show.
The Aussie singer, who appeared on The X Factor between 2007 and 2010, has been tipped to join Gary as a judge on the BBC series next year
"Gary has given careful consideration to a number of candidates but Dannii certainly ticks all boxes," a source told The Sun newspaper this evening.
They added: “She has primetime talent show experiences given her roles on X Factor and Australia’s Got Talent, plus she starred in many theatre productions.
“Dannii is also very popular with viewers so when it became known she was available, Gary was keen to take her on.”
Dannii herself is quoted by the tabloid as saying: “I’m so excited to be returning to the UK and joining the judging panel of Let It Shine. To be a performer, you must have a burning desire to perform, then you train at all the skills you need to shine. This show gives everyone that chance. I can’t wait!”
Announced earlier this year, Let It Shine will be seeking out talent to create a band who will join the cast of a brand new stage show featuring the music of Take That, created in association with Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald.
Gary and his fellow judges will be looking for talented individuals to form a new group that exudes the charisma, showmanship and stage presence that the hit group has become so famous for.
Let It Shine will air Saturday nights on BBC One in the New Year, taking over from The Voice UK which will switch to ITV from 2017.
