Louis Walsh has declared that The Brooks could become as big as Jedward on The X Factor.

Identical twins Josh and Kyle make up The Brooks who first appeared on The X Factor two years ago.

They returned to the show this evening and sailed through to bootcamp.

Chatting on the Xtra Factor, Louis claimed that the twins could "definitely" become as huge as Jedward were during the X Factor's 2009 series.

"I think so," Louis told Rylan Clark-Neal and Matt Edmondson. "Jedward were great fun and they were brilliant to work with.

"Anything I asked them to do, they did it. They did everything and they were great fun."

Meanwhile, The Brooks themselves say they have been left overwhelmed by the reaction to their audition this weekend.

"WOW WE'RE SO OVERWHELMED. Thank you to everyone for all the love, from the bottom of our hearts it truly means so much," the guys tweeted after appearing on ITV2's Xtra Factor live.

The Brooks made it through to bootcamp with four yeses on Sunday night's show.

"We auditioned for the show when we were 15 back in 2014 and got to Louis Walsh's judges' houses in Bermuda," the guys explained in the penultimate round of auditions. "When we didn't get through we were gutted.

"We can totally understand where Louis was coming from [when he said we needed more time] and there's a huge improvement from those two 15-year-old boys, we're glad to be back... fingers crossed."

Later, in the judges' room the pair tell the panel: "We've been working hard, gigging, building confidence. We've got unfinished business."

With a point to prove, The Brooks went on to sing Naughty Boy and Beyonce's Runnin' and had Louis won over this time.

"Much, much better guys," he said. "I remember [at judges' houses in 2014] the vocal wasn't just enough and I was on the fence, I'm off the fence tonight, that was really, really good, I'm really glad you came back."

"I think you guys are so adorable and you've actually got something to work with," commented Nicole Scherzinger on seeing the pair for the first time.
