Identical twins Josh and Kyle make up The Brooks who first appeared on The X Factor two years ago and got as far as the final six groups in Louis Walsh's groups category.
"We auditioned for the show when we were 15 back in 2014 and got to Louis Walsh's judges' houses in Bermuda," the guys explained in this evenings latest auditions. "When we didn't get through we were gutted.
"We can totally understand where Louis was coming from [when he said we needed more time] and there's a huge improvement from those two 15-year-old boys, we're glad to be back... fingers crossed."
Later, in the judges' room the pair tell the panel: "We've been working hard, gigging, building confidence. We've got unfinished business."
With a point to prove, The Brooks went on to sing Naughty Boy and Beyonce's Runnin' and had Louis won over this time.
"Much, much better guys," he said. "I remember [at judges' houses in 2014] the vocal wasn't just enough and I was on the fence, I'm off the fence tonight, that was really, really good, I'm really glad you came back."
"I think you guys are so adorable and you've actually got something to work with," commented Nicole Scherzinger on seeing the pair for the first time.
Sharon Osbourne added: "I really like your harmonies, I think you've got a lot of potential."
Simon Cowell was more critical: "I'm not going to lie... you've still got a lot of work to do, you've got to develop your own sound, sometimes less is more."
However he still joined the other judges in giving The Brooks a yes into the next round.
With four yeses, The Brooks are through to bootcamp but can they better their place at judges' houses from 2014?
The X Factor continues next weekend on ITV with the final auditions and bootcamp.
