X Factor duo The Brooks have hit back at claims of a fix even before their audition has aired.

Identical twins Josh and Kyle make up The Brooks who first appeared on The X Factor two years ago.

But even before their audition has hit TV screens the pair have had to deny allegations that the show has been 'fixed' for them to win.

It's all about claims that they're being managed by Simon Cowell's close pal and X Factor regular Sinitta.

However the brothers say she's nothing more than a "good friend".

“Sinitta is just someone we know from church at Hillsong. She’s become a good friend," Kyle told the Daily Star website.

Josh added: “Just because we are friends with Sinitta does not mean we are getting any extra treatment.”

Sinitta herself did not comment on the reports.

In tonight's show The Brooks are seen singing for the judges at the room auditions and reuniting with former mentor Louis Walsh.

"We auditioned for the show when we were 15 back in 2014 and got to Louis Walsh's judges' houses in Bermuda," the guys explain. "When we didn't get through we were gutted.

"We can totally understand where Louis was coming from [when he said we needed more time] and there's a huge improvement from those two 15-year-old boys, we're glad to be back... fingers crossed."

In the judges' room the pair tell the panel: "We've been working hard, gigging, building confidence. We've got unfinished business."

The X Factor 2016 auditions continue Sunday night at 8PM on ITV.
