Here's a look at Eddie Lee's FIRST time on The X Factor, back in 2009.

Simon Cowell came face-to-face with his Scottish doppleganger on The X Factor 2016 last month, in the form of Glaswegian singer Eddie.

Eddie walked in to the judges' room at the Edinburgh try-outs and was instantly praised as "handsome" by Simon. "Thank you, I get mistaken for you all the time!" he responded.

The single 51-year-old added that it's "good for the girls", with Simon exclaiming: "So since I’ve been around your love life’s got better? That’s why I do this!"

Eddie wasn't done there, as he had a present for the media mogul - a talking bobblehead doll that utters some of his memorable quotes.

"I love that, I have 5,000 of these in storage!" joked Simon.

It was then down to business, as Eddie performed Elvis hit 'Can't Help Falling in Love' for the judges and left the venue with three yesses.

However it turns out that Eddie was in fact on The X Factor before back in 2009 where he also performed in front of Simon and Louis Walsh, as well as then judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue.

Appearing at the arena auditions, Eddie sang Is This The Way To Amarillo? but was given a NO by Simon in footage that aired on ITV2's Xtra Factor at the time.

But Eddie's dance moves won over Louis, Cheryl and Dannii and he got through to bootcamp.

The X Factor continues this Saturday at 8PM on ITV.
