X Factor 2016: Will Matt Terry be the next Olly Murs after amazing audition?

Matt Terry

Cheeky Matt Terry has been tipped to become the next Olly Murs after storming The X Factor 2016 auditions.

23-year-old Matt revealed to the judges at the auditions this evening how he was a waiter but had to quit his job after an upsetting break up.

In fact, Matt was dumped just before his birthday three years into the relationship.

"Music is my passion, it's the dream come true, it's what I'm here for," he continued. "I'm going to go for it with everything I have."

Nicole replied: "Well I hope you don't suck, 'cause I like you already."

After Matt performed Ben E. King’s Stand By Me, Nicole was very relieved: "I am so happy you don't suck, that was great."

Matt replied: "You're great!"

Nicole teased: "I feel you... it got really hot really fast."

As he flirted with Nicole, Matt was keen to make sure Simon Cowell wasn't feeling left out: "My nan has flown all the way over from Spain and she's your biggest fan."

"So Nicole gets you and I get the nan?" replied Simon.

"We can double date!" exclaimed Matt.

But what about those all important yeses?

Sharon Osborune said: "You tick every box, you really do."

Simon Cowell added: "You remind me a little bit of when I first met Olly Murs, fun, approachable, you have that same personality."

With four yesses, Matt is through to bootcamp.
