X Factor singer Betsy-Blue English joins E4's Stage School

X Factor singer Betsy-Blue English is set to join new E4 reality series Stage School

The musician, who was a part of group Only The Young on the show in 2014, will be followed alongside a number of other performers on their exciting journeys in the music and film industries.

Viewers will experience the drama, the love affairs, the gossip, the moments of triumph and of course the break-out singing and dance routines, all performed by Betsy-Blue and the other talented people themselves.

After making it through to the X Factor live finals with her band Only The Young and having already performed in every major arena across the UK, Betsy-Blue has recently taken the time to film 30 episodes for the new E4 show.

And she's not only the only X Factor alum to take part, with Stereo Kicks' Casey Johnson, now part of Union J, also appearing on the line up.

Executive Producer and Managing Director of show makers Knickerbockerglory Jonathan Stadlen said: “Young people don’t want to be doctors or lawyers anymore, they want to be superstars - and there’s no better place to train for superstardom than D&B.

"We wanted to capture the drama, hard work and exuberance of the pupils, and getting them to break into song felt a natural next step on from watching their rehearsals and performances. The songs they perform are all hits we know and love.

"To go from reality into a music video performance and back into reality again is a really exciting experience for viewers, and it’s been a joy to make for Series Director Ben Cook and his brilliant production team.”

Stage School starts on E4 on Monday, September 5 ad 7:30PM and continues every weeknight at the same time.
