X Factor 2016: Calvin Harris to join Nicole Scherzinger at judges' houses?

Nicole Scherzinger (X Factor 2017)

Calvin Harris could join Nicole Scherzinger at judges' houses on The X Factor 2016.

That's despite being 'banned for life' from the show after he stormed the stage back during 2009's live shows as Jedward performed.

Producer Calvin jumped up into Jedward's performance with a pineapple on his head before being kicked out of the studio.

But he's now set to make an X Factor comeback as Nicole's judges' houses helper.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Calvin is rightly regarded as one of the biggest artists in music due to his phenomenal chart success.

“Simon wants A-listers on board and made a beeline for Calvin, ensuring him there would be no issues after the Jedward row.

“It was a long time ago and both have moved on so much since then.”

As for who else could appear at judges' houses, Alesha Dixon is reportedly set to film with Louis Walsh.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, Simon is over the moon to have secured Alesha for the show after she reportedly turned down a spot as a judge in the past.

A source told the tabloid: “Simon is thrilled that Alesha finally said yes to being a part of The X Factor. He has wanted her to be involved with the show for years."

They added: "After poaching her from Strictly she preferred judging on Britain’s Got Talent but now she will be part of the X Factor family."

Other names rumoured for judges' houses include former winner Shayne Ward, who has also been tipped fora role at judges' houses with Louis.

Reports suggest that Shayne may appear alongside his former mentor as part of the Irishman's 'crew' during the next stage of filming.

And Shayne may not be the only former X Factor star making a return for judges' houses soon.

It was previously reported that Cheryl will be joining Simon Cowell at his judges' houses this year.

For now, The X Factor 2016 continues this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV with the latest auditions.
