Rylan Clark-Neal's Up Late chat show WILL be back

Up Late With Rylan

Rylan Clark-Neal's Up Late With Rylan chat show will return to Channel 5, it's been revealed.

Channel 5's boss has confirmed that Up Late With Rylan will be coming back although it may have a slightly different format.

The show aired every week night during May of this year ahead of Big Brother's return but it sounds like it may have been a bit of a tough task for everyone involved.

So its second series is likely to take a different approach.

Channel 5's Director of Programmes Ben Frow announced last week: "I think it was a great thing to do. He is a truly talented, amazing and very, very nice person.

"I was delighted we were able to pull it off. We'd been talking about it for months so it was great to do it."

Speaking at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, he continued: "It will come back in some form or other, I'm not sure it will be stripped [across the week].

"It's quite a tough gig but I really believe in Rylan.

"Going forward, I do think he'll be one of the great talent entertainers of the country."

Not bad going for someone who was once regarded as an X Factor 'novelty' act, eh?
