Strictly Come Dancing won't clash with The X Factor this year, at least for the launch show next month.

The X Factor hits our screens with its new series this Saturday (August 27) and Sunday, with both episodes airing at 8PM.

The show continues next Saturday, September 3, but is set to start slightly later at 8:15PM as Strictly Come Dancing kicks off at 6:50PM.

It means fans of both shows can enjoy them back to back with no overlap - hurrah!

The Strictly opener will be its usual pre-recorded affair and feature the celebs getting paired up with the pro dancers.

Olympic long jumper Greg Rutherford, EastEnders actress Tameka Empson and Birds Of A Feather star Lesley Joseph were the final three names to be officially announced as a part of the Strictly 2016 line up this week.

They join a cast that's also made up of joins Robert 'Judge' Rinder, British Olympic Gymnast Claudia Fragapane, singer Anastacia, BBC Breakfast Presenter Naga Munchetty and model Daisy Lowe.

Also dancing this year on Strictly are Hollyoaks actor Danny Mac, singer Louise Redknapp, Kiss FM DJ Melvin Odoom, former politician Ed Balls, singer Will Young, TV presenter Laura Whitmore and sports broadcaster Ore Oduba.

Over on The X Factor, the new series welcomes back Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne as well as Dermot O'Leary for the room auditions.

While The X Factor will air Saturday and Sunday nights from now until Christmas, Strictly will take a usual break after its launch in September before the first live show in October.
