Louis Walsh says Strictly Come Dancing is "boring" as he makes X Factor return

Louis Walsh has branded Strictly Come Dancing "boring" as he promises a fun return to The X Factor this year.

While this time last year Louis wanted to take part in Strictly after being axed from The X Factor, he's had a sudden change of mind.

“I can’t dance at all, that’s why it’ll be so good,” Louis told the Daily Mirror newspaper back in May 2015. “I’d like to be partnered with Ola.”

Fast forward to 2016 and Louis says: “Listen, I watched Strictly last year. I found it boring. I got bored after a while, it was like, ‘Oh god, who are they and what are they doing?’"

He told The Sun newspaper: “The X Factor is the most talked about show on TV, everyone talks about The X Factor, no one talks about Strictly.”

Louis will be back on The X Factor panel this year together with three other returning judges as Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger make comebacks alongside boss Simon Cowell.

"This year we bring experience," Louis claims. "Sharon’s been around a long time, I’ve been around a long time, we know our music.

“We know the politics of music, we know how record companies work. We also know what people are going to like.”

The X Factor 2016 will start next Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.
