Robbie Williams is set to make another return to The X Factor for judges' houses.
It's set to be Robbie's third appearance as a guest judge having previously appeared in 2012 alongside Take That band mate Gary Barlow and in 2013 with Sharon Osborune.
According to The Sun newspaper, Robbie is once again planning to team up with Sharon for the new series later this year.
“Getting Robbie back on the show is a really clever move on the part of Sharon and the producers,” a source told the tabloid this week. “He has a huge fanbase and will attract loads of extra viewers purely from his name.
"It’s that sort of star quality they need to compete with Strictly.”
The insider added: “Every time Robbie appears on the X Factor he proves great entertainment value."
Meanwhile, reports have claimed that former X Factor winner Shayne Ward will join Louis Walsh while Simon Cowell will welcome back Cheryl to the show for his judges' houses.
As yet however nothing is officially confirmed for the judges' houses stage which isn't expected to begin filming just yet.
Cheryl quit The X Factor earlier this year after a total of five series in order to focus on her music.
She said at the time: “I have had such an amazing experience being a judge on The X Factor . I have learnt so much and enjoyed nurturing talent but I’ve missed making music and am excited to be recording again.”
The X Factor is expected to start next month on ITV.
