The former coach on the BBC One series has revealed he'd love to appear on this year's judges houses with Nicole Scherzinger and perform on the live shows.
"I’d do judges’ houses with Nicole," Ricky told the Daily Mirror newspaper this week. “And if Simon would have Kaiser Chiefs on The X Factor performing, I’d love that."
Ricky insisted: "Everyone thinks there’s rivalry, but when it comes round to X Factor, I watch on a Saturday night."
He added: "I’ve been to sit in the audience because it’s fun.”
Chatting earlier this year, Ricky ruled out a return to The Voice UK next year when the show moves over to ITV for its fifth series.
He explained: “It’s changed me. When I did it I was trying to hide who I was.
"I was quite good at having this other persona but on TV you can’t edit out who you are and you become more honest and a bit more relaxed.
"It’s who I am and there is no point in trying to change that.”
Speaking to The Scottish Sun at T In The Park, where he was with his former winning act Stevie McCrorie, Ricky continued: “I really enjoyed it.
"Tom’s going back and Will is going back but I will leave it fallow like when they don’t do Glastonbury for a year.”
The Voice UK begins on ITV in the new year while The X Factor returns next month.
