The X Factor 2016 is shaping up to see a major revamp from the judges to the hosts, here's a recap of what's been going on to get you up to speed...
When does The X Factor start on TV?
The precise X Factor 2016 start date on ITV has now been officially confirmed and it’ll launch on Saturday, August 27 at 8PM and continue on Sunday, August 28 at 9PM.
The show will then continue Saturday and Sunday nights until the final in December!
Who are new The X Factor 2016 judges?
Nick Grimshaw, Cheryl and Rita Ora have all quit but there aren't any new faces in their places, as a trio of old favourites return alongside Simon Cowell.
Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne have been confirmed as new judges.
Speaking of her return for a third stint, Sharon said: “I’m overjoyed about going back to The X Factor, sitting with Lou, Lou, gorgeous Nicole and naughty Simon."
Nicole added: "I can’t wait to be back in the UK and on the show with the best judges sitting alongside me on the panel."
And Louis said of his comeback: “He’d say otherwise but I knew Simon missed me last year!"
Dermot O'Leary is back too!
It's not just the judges that have been dropping like flies, both Caroline Flack and Olly Murs have left after their poorly received debut as presenters in 2015.
Dermot has returned to replace them having reportedly signed a new four-year-deal worth £8 million.
Meanwhile, there's a new Xtra Factor duo
There are yet more changes to come with Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom dropped from ITV2 spin-off the Xtra Factor.
ITV have confirmed that former finalist Rylan Clark-Neal will be hosting with Matt Edmondson.
Matt joked: "I am unbelievably excited about joining The Xtra Factor this year, not least of all because on my first day Louis Walsh walked into my dressing room topless, unannounced. I regard this as the definition of ‘living the dream’”.
The arenas are gone and the room auditions are back
Away from the stars of the show, the set is changing with arena auditions now gone completely in favour of the more intimate room auditions.
But the Six Seat Challenge remains
Those that impress at auditions and bootcamp will go on to make the six chair challenge, which returns with its usual format and live audience.
