Simon Cowell has become a big softie on this year's The X Factor.
At least that's according to Dermot O'Leary, who thinks Simon has now very much done away with his former 'Mr Nasty' tag.
Having now filmed auditions, bootcamp and the six chair challenge, Dermot reckons this year's series will be more fun and "old school".
Joining Simon on this year's judging line up are a trio of familiar faces as Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh all return to the show.
Dermot said: “I don’t know whether it is time and getting older, but it is a softer panel.
“Now when someone comes on and they don’t do a great audition, they are told: ‘We are really glad you have come and have had the best day.'”
“It definitely feels very warm now," he added to the Daily Star newspaper.
Dermot, back hosting this year's series after a year out in 2015, went on: "Now it feels very old school with Louis, Sharon and Nicole coming back.
“We have had a really fun time. It’s been a laugh.”
The new series of The X Factor is expected to start on ITV next month.
