The Xtra Factor may have found its new presenter in Matt Edmondson, but it looks like rumours that Rylan Clark-Neal will be involved aren't going away any time soon.
Today ITV announced that Radio 1 DJ Matt will take over from Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom on The X Factor's spin-off show.
But when he reported the news during his regular showbiz segment on today's edition of This Morning, Rylan was VERY coy about rumours that he's also joining the presenting team.
Presenter Philip Schofield commented: "I have a feeling that there are more legs on this story. I have a feeling there are quite long legs on this story. I think there’s more to come."
"Really? Really?" responded an incredulous Rylan.
"I don’t think he’s flying solo on this," agreed Holly Willoughby. "I think there might be a bit of a double action going on... but we shall see!"
Rather than set Holly and Phil straight, Rylan moved swiftly on - exclaiming "Let’s talk about One Direction!" in reference to the news that Harry Styles has signed a solo record deal.
It's very possible that Rylan - who hosts Big Brother spin-off Bit On The Side - could have a role on The Xtra Factor this year, as bosses have also confirmed it's having a major format change.
The ITV2 show will now air live every week, right from the start of the series - allowing it to cover viewers' instant reactions even during the pre-recorded audition stages.
The X Factor is due to return to our screens at the end of August.
