X Factor's Katie Waissel set to become a Big Brother housemate, it's been reported.
The singer is said to be one of the latest contestants who will join the house from Tuesday night.
Which is surprising as you'd think Katie is well known enough to pass for the Celebrity version.
However insiders claim that bosses will indeed be putting familiar into the 'civilian' series to help boost ratings.
“Katie will make for compelling viewing because she is such a character," a source told the Daily Star on Sunday today. “She is bound to divide opinion just like she did on The X Factor.”
Other names linked to Big Brother 2016 include dominatrix Natalie Rowe, who previously hit the headlines over pictures of her partying with Chancellor George Osborne back in the 90s.
The sort-of-celebrity line up is also rumoured to involve a model who apparently slept with Justin Bieber.
Laura Carter, who has also appeared on an E4 dating show, revealed in December how she supposedly had a threesome with singer Justin following an X-rated game of Truth or Dare at a London hotel.
An insider claimed this weekend: “Celebrity Big Brother always gets bigger ratings, so bosses thought getting a few reality stars for the ‘normal’ series is likely to make for a bigger talking point and push viewing figures up.”
Big Brother 2016 begins on Channel 5 on Tuesday night.
While Katie is apparently destined for that series, a pair of other X Factor stars have been tipped for the main Celebrity show later this summer
Most recent finalist Lauren Murray as well as former bootcamp reject turned Playboy model Chloe Mafia have been linked to CBB.
Celebrity Big Brother is expected to start sometime in August straight after the end of BB.
