It's been claimed that the new series of The Voice, which will air on ITV for the first time next year, has been inviting former contestants of the rival series to try out.
One of those who has supposedly been asked to audition is Josh Daniel, who had been shockingly cut from The X Factor line up last year at judges' houses.
However and insider claims Josh has turned the offer down in order to pursue his own career, with music due out later this year.
“He was recently asked to come back to the X Factor but politely declined," a source said.
They told The Sun newspaper: “He's spent the last six months holed up in the studio both in the UK and in America where he has been working with top secret names - he is flattered to be asked to take part in The Voice also but it's not one for him.”
Over the five series of The Voice UK on BBC One there have been plenty of acts who appeared on The X Factor as well.
Last year saw Mia Sylvester and Eli Cripps take part having previously made the bootcamp stages while Lydia Lucy finished as runner up having got as far as the six chair challenge on X Factor.
ITV said in response to the reports: "The Voice UK is currently on the hunt for strong singers and exceptional vocal talents and producer auditions will take place later this month."
