Sharon Osbourne has reportedly agreed a deal worth £2 million to return to The X Factor this year.
Simon Cowell confirmed yesterday that Sharon would be back on the panel, joining Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and himself.
Sharon said: “I’m overjoyed about going back to The X Factor , sitting with Lou, gorgeous Nicole and naughty Simon. But most of all, I can’t wait to meet baby Eric.”
According to the Daily Mirror, Sharon's deal is said to be worth £2 million, almost twice as much as her fellow judges'.
"Sharon drives a hard bargain and has other commitments but Simon was certain he wanted her for the panel and he is thrilled to have a line up viewers are familiar with and have enjoyed in the past," a source told the tabloid.
They added: “Simon has described it as being like a greatest hits line up.”
However Sharon has found herself in a bit of an awkward situation following the news after previous comments came back to haunt her.
Following her last exit from the show in 2013, Sharon took aim at 'boring' talent shows.
“If one more person stands in front of me and sings, I tell you, I’ve had it with people singing at me,” she complained in an interview. “And I’ve had it watching people singing on TV.”
Sharon went on to moan about sob stories: “And they’ve all got something wrong.
“They’ve either got one lung or one kidney… they’ve all got somebody sick in hospital.
“It’s like: ‘oh lord, just shut up and sing'.”
She added: “But then when they sing it’s like ‘please stop it. I can’t take it any more'.”
Still, we're excited for the outrageous judge to be back this year.
The X Factor will air on ITV in the autumn.
