Louisa Johnson and Clean Bandit are on course to chart in the Top 5 with 'Tears'.
But can they get all the way to Number 1?
Louisa and Clean Bandits collaboration on Tears, starts at Number 5 in today’s Official Charts Update following its surprise release last Friday (May 27).
The song came out of nowhere to be put out for download and streaming.
It's a new move for an X Factor winner but it's one that looks to be working.
Following a performance on the Britain’s Got Talent final on Saturday, Clean Bandit and Louisa are now at Number 2 on iTunes and could challenge for the top spot come Friday night's Official Top 40 Countdown.
The song is Louisa's first release since her X Factor winner’s single, a cover of Bob Dylan’s Forever Young, which peaked at Number 9 last Christmas, the first X Factor champ to miss Number 1.
Not only is the latest hit proving a success for Louisa, if its sales momentum continues, Tears will give Clean Bandit their fifth Top 10 single.
However the pair have to overcome some big names if they want to take the Number 1 spot this week.
Right now it's Drake’s One Dance that STILL continues to lead the way at the top of the charts, closely followed by Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop The Feeling at 2, with just 900 chart sales between the two.
