Simon Cowell has dropped the biggest hint yet that Sharon Osbourne will be back on The X Factor this year.

While in the States recently promoting the new series of America's Got Talent, Simon spoke about working with Sharon again here in the UK.

It's after rumours that say Sharon has been offered a £2 million deal to return to The X Factor for what would be a third stint behind the judges' desk.

"I think she and I are going to work on a show together in the UK," Simon is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying.

He explained: “We mainly have a love relationship. It is always back to love.”

So far there have been no official confirmation of any judges for The X Factor this year.

Filming with the panel doesn't begin for a few weeks' yet, with show bosses yesterday announcing one final open audition casting call.

The last of the open auditions for this year will take place this Friday 27 May at Hilton Leicester Hotel, 21 Junction Approach, Leicester, LE19 1WQ. For a chance to audition groups or solo singers aged 16+ can apply by just turning up on the day between 10am and 7pm.

So if you think you could be the next Louisa Johnson, One Direction, Little Mix, Ella Henderson or Olly Murs, or you know someone you think could be, now is the time to come along and showcase your vocal talent.

Simon Cowell said: “Until this year, Leicester had never won the Premier League, and we had never held X Factor auditions in the city, so it is time to say hello.”

Acts are advised to turn up early to the Open Audition to ensure they grab a slot. All any budding hopefuls need to do is turn up. If they impress The X Factor team with their vocals they will then be in with a chance of auditioning in front of The X Factor judges when the judges’ auditions take place in June.

Mark Sidaway, Executive Producer, The X Factor, added: “If any city has shown this year that it has the X Factor then it's Leicester. We're hoping the fairytale continues for a lucky singer or group from the area.”

The X Factor will return to ITV later this year alongside sister show, The Xtra Factor on ITV 2.
