Rylan Clark-Neal wants to represent UK at Eurovision next year

Rylan Clark has put himself forward to present the UK at Eurovision in 2017.

It's after yet another disappointing performance this year, finishing third from bottom at the weekend.

Joe Woolford and Jake Shakeshaft from The Voice UK represented us and scored our biggest points total since 2011, including our first full 12 points in seven years.

But the boys did no better than last year despite scoring more than 12 times as many points, thanks to a new scoring system that also helped the Ukraine win ahead of Australia.

So could Rylan do any better? Well he's up for giving it a go.

"I would definitely... Oh no, I'm not going to say it because there'll be a story out of it!" he said on This Morning earlier today.

And indeed here is that story

"There is a little part of me that thinks that I've done muggier stuff before - I would love it!" Rylan continued.

Holly Willoughby offered to help out with her talents, and also got co-host Ben Shepherd involved.

Holly enthused: "Do it! And I will backing dance! [And Ben's] got a contemporary dance degree!"

But Ben quipped: "Don't drag me into this!"

Rylan went on: "Look, if we're gonna lose we might as well lose with a bang.

"I will represent the country if you two dance with me, deal?"

So that's our act for next year sorted.

Let's be honest, we can't go any lower on the leaderboard, can we?
