Westlife's Nicky Byrne has been tipped to co-host the Xtra Factor this year.
It follows his disappointing result at Eurovision last week, representing Ireland but failing to make it through to the final.
It's been claimed that Nicky screen tested for the Xtra Factor before heading for Eurovision and is set to become one half of this year's hosting duo.
So it sounds like it's goodbye to Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom!
“A number of people are being considered for the position and Nicky is on that list,” an insider told the Irish Mail on Sunday at the weekend.
They said of the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant: “He has plenty of experience on camera and has a great profile in England which is a real plus.
“What happened in Stockholm won’t matter for this job. It is all about the chemistry. If they find someone who works with him he has a real chance at landing the gig."
Apparently former I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now presenter Laura Whitmore has also been in talks but it's unlikely she and Nicky would work together.
“It would probably be one Irish presenter paired with a UK name. A decision will be made very soon as the live auditions start in June,” the source claimed.
Speaking last week, current co-host of the ITV2 spin-off Rochelle said she had no idea if she'll be back this year.
The Saturdays' singer revealed: "Me and Melvin had a ball doing it but I'm not sure what's gonna happen.
"But I got booked literally two weeks before I started filming last year it's not normal to know."
The X Factor and Xtra Factor will air on ITV and ITV2 respectively later this year.
