Nicole Scherzinger has responded to claims she snubbed 'Cats' to join The X Factor line up.
Andrew Lloyd-Webber hit out at Nicole this week, claiming that she had backed out of an upcoming production of 'Cats' at the last minute.
In a chat with The Economist Radio, the music composer said: "A week before we were going to go into rehearsal with Cats on Broadway, which luckily I'm not producing, she calls me and says she's decided she wants to do X Factor, having agreed everything."
Andrew Lloyd-Webber went on (via DigitalSpy) to brand Nicole "crazy" and admitted he was been left rather angry after being messed about by the former Pussycat Dolls singer.
He explained: "I'm furious because I really believe she's the most fantastically talented girl and I went out on a limb to get her for the London Palladium here, and it makes me look like an absolute twot with them all.
"But never mind, there'll be another girl on Broadway and Nicole will not get her Tony Award."
In response to the comments, Nicole said this weekend: "I had every intention of doing Cats on Broadway but the contract was never finalised."
She told the Radio Times magazine: "I am incredibly blessed to be given so many amazing opportunities, including Cats, but unfortunately we weren't able to make it work this time around."
Nicole added: "I adore and respect Andrew, I'm so grateful for our friendship and can’t wait for the opportunity to create more magic together."
While the whole thing seems to pretty much confirm Nicole will be back on The X Factor, a spokesperson said nothing was official yet.
They said that "discussions are still ongoing regarding the panel, details will confirmed shortly".
