It seems as though Nicole Scherzinger is all but officially confirmed for The X Factor this year.
And it's left West End legend Andrew Lloyd-Webber FURIOUS.
He's told how Nicole pulled out of an upcoming production of Cats on Broadway at the last minute to join The X Factor 2016 line up.
In a chat with The Economist Radio, the music composer said: "A week before we were going to go into rehearsal with Cats on Broadway, which luckily I'm not producing, she calls me and says she's decided she wants to do X Factor, having agreed everything."
He continued: "I mean, she's crazy.
"But the American producers just took a view - 'Well, fine, we'll get somebody else', because she's actually not very well known in America amazingly. She's much better known here."
Andrew Lloyd-Webber went on (via DigitalSpy) to admit he's been left rather angry after being messed about by the former Pussycat Dolls singer.
He explained: "I'm furious because I really believe she's the most fantastically talented girl and I went out on a limb to get her for the London Palladium here, and it makes me look like an absolute twot with them all.
"But never mind, there'll be another girl on Broadway and Nicole will not get her Tony Award."
Nicole's appointment to The X Factor has NOT yet been officially confirmed, although she's widely expected to return alongside Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Simon Cowell.
It was confirmed at the beginning of the week that Rita Ora had quit the show, following Nick Grimshaw and Cheryl Cole.
The X Factor 2016 will air on ITV this year.
