4th Impact have revealed they were rejected from The X Factor at first time.
The four piece WOWED on the show in 2015 with their first audition in front of the judges having notched up over 100 million views to date.
But it turns out that The X Factor Philippines rejected the girls, saying that they "lacked star quality".
Their loss is our gain, as the sisters told Gulf News how the knockback inspired them to try their luck in the UK.
“When we auditioned for X Factor Philippines, we were told that we did not make it past the auditions because we lacked star quality," the group revealed.
"A fan of ours from the UK told us to try X Factor UK, but the problem was we didn’t know how," they continued. "So he sent us the link and he allowed us to borrow his address in the UK for us to join.
"After one month we received a message from X Factor UK and that’s how it all started.”
4th Impact, originally called 4th Power, flew to Britain thanks to a "fairy Godmother" who paid for their travel to the audition.
The rest, as they say, is history.
In fact, 4th Impact's Almira says that The X Factor remains their most memorable experience having been performing for 10 years.
“It’s the most memorable because after Korea’s Superstar K6 we gave up," she revealed candidly. "We felt like it’s enough — we’ve been joining competitions for ten years already.
"We never thought there were bigger opportunities] with X Factor UK. We did not just fulfil our dream of meeting Mr Simon Cowell, but more than that we reached the top five.
"Such a history to be an impact to the world because we are the first Filipina girl band in X Factor UK."
