Nicole Scherzinger has reportedly turned down the chance to return to The X Factor UK.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer has previously appeared as a judge both on our version and the American series.
Nicole was last on the panel in 2013 alongside Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.
It's been claimed that Nicole has 'snubbed Simon' and will not make a comeback to The X Factor in favour of starring in musical Cats.
The Daily Star on Sunday say that Nicole had been lined up to take over from Rita Ora alongside Louis, Sharon and Simon.
"Simon wants to know he is in safe hands this year after last year’s disaster," a source said. "He wants everything to run smoothly. In his eyes that means a tried and tested panel rather than going for a big name who could be a risk.
“He knows that Sharon, Louis and Nicole all work well. They offer the right balance of star quality, fun and personality."
The tabloid reports that Nicole's move has "thrown a spanner in the works" and now leaves talks uncertain going forward.
If Rita does come end up back for a second series and Sharon joins, it could make things a bit awkward.
This week Sharon took aim at Rita and Nick Grimshaw, who announced his exit earlier this year, saying that the pair were not "accomplished" enough to be judges.
"They are very young," she told Gay Star News (via the Daily Star), "Nothing against them, but I think it needs more accomplished people."
The X Factor 2016 will air on ITV later this year.
