X Fator 2016 winner Louis Johnson made quite the impression at a homecoming gig in Essex at the weekend.

The reigning champion of The X Factor performed at Sheesh Chigwell having spent much of April working on her debut album in the states.

She showed off some brand new covers beyond the songs we all saw her perform on the show, singing tracks including Pretty Young Thing by Michael Jackson, Robin S' Show Me Love and Ain't Nobody by Chaka Khan.

Essex royalty Mark Wright was there and tweeted: "Wow what restaurants can you go to, eat great food then watch the current X factor champion singing live !! Insane"

Last month saw 18-year-old Louisa, the youngest ever winner of The X Factor, enjoying life in LA as she recorded tracks for her debut album.

Speaking after her victory, Louisa said previously she was keen to get working, revealing: “I have so many ideas so it is a case of trying them out.

"I am young and I want to portray myself in a fun you way I think it is a case of me going to the studio and trying things out, and they work, and if they don’t they don’t I will have to keep trying.”

Simon Cowell has branded Louisa a "great winner" and it seems as though he's spending a lot of money on her.

In pictures posted from her trip to US on social media, Louisa tweeted: "Im so like confused n happy n grateful that i am writing my own music, doing my own thing, being me."

She also wrote candidly in one Instagram post: "Not gonna lie and say that everyday is great. I felt s**t today but wrote a great song because of it.

"Thank you for everything. Idk what i would do without ur support & constant love"

And Louisa teased with her fans: "Cant wait to share everything with u"

There's no exact release date for anything yet but The X Factor winners typically release their debut albums around October or November time.
