The Crying For No Reason hitmaker previously appeared on The Voice alongside Ricky Wilson as a guest mentor, although admits she had no idea what to do at the time.
Now with a string of hit singles under her belt and plenty of experience in the business, Katy reckons she'd make a good judge.
She told the Evening Standard: "Maybe earlier on in my career I'd be nervous about being a judge on those shows.
"When I was a guest judge on Ricky [Wilson's] team on The Voice, I was literally sitting there thinking, 'What am I going to say to these people?' because their voices were like, ten times better than mine."
Katy went on to tell the newspaper: "Now I've got a bit of experience, maybe - we'll have to wait and see.
"It would be something interesting to do - I'm always up for a change of scenery."
There's nothing to link Katy to The X Factor later this year, with the panel seemingly sorted.
Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne are all widely rumoured to be taking up seats behind the judges desk with Nicole Scherzinger and Rita Ora tipped for the final spot.
But The Voice strikes us as being more suited to Katy and we could definitely see her in the spinning red chairs when the show moves to ITV next year...
