Laura Whitmore is being tipped to host the Xtra Factor this year after leaving I'm A Celebrity's spin-off.
The Irish telly presenter last week announced she was leaving I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now, saying in a statement: "After 5 incredible series working with my extended I'm a Celeb family, I've taken the tough decision to hang up my jungle boots.
"It's been such a wonderful experience but I feel it's time to move on. I wish the team well and look forward to tuning in later this year as well as continuing to work with ITV on other shows."
Now Laura has been linked to replacing Melvin Odoom and Rochelle Humes on the Xtra Factor.
A source said: “It’s no wonder Laura is being considered for the part – she’s beautiful, smart and has no shortage of experience when it comes to presenting.
“With I’m A Celeb, Laura had to jet to the jungle in Australia for weeks in November and December – just as the live shows for the X Factor kick off."
While nothing has been confirmed yet, the insider added to the Irish Mirror newspaper: “Now she’s cut ties, there’s nothing to stop her from committing to the singing competition."
Speaking this week, current Xtra Factor co-host Melvin confessed he had yet to hear about coming back for a second series alongside Rochelle.
"I haven't heard anything yet," he told DigitalSpy. "They leave things to the last minute - even last year, me and Roch only heard about it about a month before."
Melvin and Rochelle may well be back yet with other rumours linking Laura to the new spin-off show for The Voice when the series moves to ITV.
