Melvin Odoom doesn't know if he'll be back on The X Factor this year.
The Xtra Factor host joined the ITV2 spin-off last series alongside Rochelle Humes.
Earlier this year it was reported that while no firm decisions had been made, talks were taking place about a possible replacement for the pair.
The Sun newspaper said that Capital FM DJ Roman Kemp, son of Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp, had been in discussions with ITV about hosting the X Factor sibling show
"Obviously we have a lot of talks about it. We’ve had a lot of talks in the past year about Xtra Factor so we’ll see," Roman was quoted by the newspaper. “For me, that’s the next step.”
Speaking to DigitalSpy, Melvin insisted: "I haven't heard anything yet.
"They leave things to the last minute - even last year, me and Roch only heard about it about a month before."
He added: "If we get to do it again, it will be a bonus, but I think it's a really hard gig to keep.
"There are so many people who have done it previously before like maybe for a year and then that's it. I think Caroline [Flack's] the longest-standing presenter - she smashed it. But to get to do it again would be an honour; if I don't, then I was really happy with the year that I did it."
The Xtra Factor will return alongside The X Factor later this year, with Dermot O'Leary back in charge of the main show.
