It's battle of the Louis on The X Factor this year with show bosses split on who to sign up.
While Simon Cowell is keen to get Louis Walsh back, other producers want Louis Tomlinson on board.
The One Direction star, who appeared at judges' houses with Simon last year, said previously he'd love to join the show.
But last month a source claimed he had said NO to focus on his label: “Louis loves The X Factor but wants to develop his label further this year and sign more new talent.”
That hasn't stopped show bosses however who are still trying to get the 1D singer to sign up, as Simon battles for the Irish Louis.
“One of the top bosses is very keen for one of the 1D lads to be on the judging panel," a source told the Daily Mirror newspaper today. "This same boss is anti-Louis Walsh, which could spell trouble for the Irishman.
“There’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes at the moment to try and get them on board.”
Last week, Louis W hinted a potential comeback to The X Factor but insisted nothing was signed yet.
"There's a good chance, but I'm not saying officially I am. I've nothing signed," he said.
Meanwhile Simon teased recently that he had chosen the judges he wanted, but had yet to agree a deal with everyone involved.
"I have a panel in mind but need to meet everyone first," he said.
The X Factor 2016 will be back on ITV in the autumn, hosted by Dermot O'Leary.
