Britain's Got Talent 2016 judge Alesha Dixon has ruled out jumping ship to Simon Cowell's other talent contest The X Factor.

It seems like every year there's a story linking Alesha to an X Factor role, with Simon even admitting in a recent interview that he considered transferring the entire BGT panel to its sister show.

However, the former Mis-Teeq member insisted she'll be staying put on tonight's episode of Alan Carr: Chatty Man, saying she's now "bored" of the rumours.

"If I'm being honest, back in the day it crossed my mind and obviously I love singers, but I think the tone of Britain's Got Talent suits my personality more," she commented.

"It's more fun, and I think The X Factor is too serious for me. I am just having so much fun where I am. So absolutely no."

Alesha's BGT co-star Amanda Holden couldn't resist having a dig at X Factor's low ratings last year, adding: "I won't let her go. :Also, Britain's Got Talent is a more successful show!"

Simon is now looking for two new judges for The X Factor after Cheryl Fernandez-Versini announced this week that she's bowing out to concentrate on her music career.

Nick Grimshaw also announced his exit from the show earlier this year, insisting that he only ever wanted to do one series.

Amanda and Alesha will be back on our screens this Saturday when the tenth series of Britain's Got Talent kicks off at 7.00pm on ITV.
