X Factor's Stevi Ritchie is set to launch his music career... in Japan.
The singer and recent Celebrity Big Brother housemate has signed a record deal with Song Music in the country and has even recorded his first single.
Called Come On, Come On, Come On, the track debuted in Japan last week having been produced by Yasushi Akimoto, an apparently "highly respected Japanese record producer".
The music maker was reportedly behind the scenes of The X Factor in 2014 and saw potential in Stevi.
Stevi told The Sun newspaper this week: “I’m really excited to be releasing a single in Japan. I had a lot of fun making the video, and hopefully all you guys in the UK will get to see it as well.”
“I’m really overwhelmed and happy to be signed to Sony Japan – Mr Akimoto is a legend and of course without Simon Cowell’s help this wouldn’t have happened.
He added: “I hope everyone loves the single, its pop and fun and is very much me!"
As for British based fans of Stevi, he also revealed: "Perhaps it might be released here in the UK too who knows. Watch this space!”
The news follows the surprise success of Christopher Maloney in the Asian country too.
His song - My Heart Belongs To You - is currently number 16 in the official Japanese charts
