X Factor champ Louisa Johnson is hard at work on her debut album following the show's live tour.

There had been talk of Louisa rushing out a record this Spring but that now looks to have gone away.

Instead it seems as though she'll follow the usual pattern of winners by taking her time and putting out an album in the late summer or autumn.

This week news of a first track has surfaced with Louisa registering a song called Ruin It with a Kiss, according to Ultimate Music (via DigitalSpy).

A trio of writers are credited with the song and they've past experience with music for Westlife, Will Young and, er, Jedward.

Whether the track will actually make the album remains to be seen - but watch this space!

Meanwhile, X Factor's previous winner Ben Haenow has revealed plans for a homecoming gig in Croydon.

Ben, who was dropped by Simon Cowell's Syco record label after just the one album, will be playing Fairfield Halls on April 19.

X Factor winner Ben Haenow is heading home for a gig at a venue where childhood memories were made.

He told Your Local Guardian: “I’m absolutely buzzing for it.

“Obviously I’m looking forward to the tour in general but to get to do a gig in my hometown and a venue that I have been to on-and-off for years seeing pantomimes and famous bands is a huge thing.”
