Louis Tomlinson has ruled himself OUT of The X Factor 2016.
The One Direction star had been widely tipped to become a judge this year and last month confirmed he was more than up for it.
"Of course it's really exciting. We've had no official conversation yet, but yeah, I mean why wouldn't I?" he said at the BRITs.
However now it's been reported by The Sun on Sunday newspaper that Louis has ruled himself out of the running to instead focus on his own label.
Following their 'break' (which cold be FOREVER), One Direction's members have set about working on various own projects.
And for Louis it's his very own music business, seemingly now away from The X Factor.
A source said: “Louis loves The X Factor but wants to develop his label further this year and sign more new talent.”
It's said that Louis 'can't commit' to the ITV series, at least for this year.
“Simon understands," a source 'close to Louis' added. "They both agreed to not rule out him being an X Factor judge in the future.”
The news now makes Louis Walsh's return even more likely after being dropped for last year's run.
But that could prove controversial, especially with Louis mouthing off in the press this week about his potential fellow judges.
"I wouldn't go back unless it was the right people," the Irish music manager said, explaining he wanted Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell with him behind the judges' desk.
He went on to take a swipe at Cheryl, complaining to Closer magazine: "She's lost a bit of energy. She should go away, make a record and maybe have another hit."
For now, nothing has been announced regarding the line up of judges for the new series but stick with us for the latest.
